Christine O'Shaughnessy
Founder and Mindfulness Instructor at Mindful Presence
Christine O'Shaughnessy is the founder of Mindful Presence(www.mindfulpresence.net), which offers mindfulness meditation training to corporations, groups, and individually. Knowing the effects that stress can play in people’s health has inspired her to focus her interest in incorporating mindfulness meditation into daily life as an integral tool for stress management, relaxation training, addiction, anxiety, depression, insomnia, chronic pain and long-term illnesses. She has practiced Insight Meditation and yoga for more than 19 years, teaching for 18 years, and is RYT200 certified.
Christine brings the depth and knowledge from her previous career as a corporate executive intoher mindfulness trainings, guiding individuals to become more mindful leaders in the workplace. She has worked as the Managing Director of a search and consulting firm; the Director of Sales for a software company; and as a Vice President and Senior Credit Analyst at Loomis, Sayles & Co., an investment management firm in Boston. She holds a BA in Finance and an MBA from Babson College. Christine has completed intensive training programs and attended silent retreats at Insight Meditation Center, Cambridge Insight Meditation Center, and BCBS. Christine offers Yin Yoga Intensive Teacher Training programs and is also the co-creator of Harvard Pilgrim’s online instructional yoga videos and an iPhone App called Present: Guided Meditation.
